Read my previous annual reviews: 2021, 2020
I recall late December 2021, I was writing my annual review and planning for the year ahead. I thought to myself that between now and next December, things will be very different. I was graduating from school and with that came a few pivotal decisions: where will I work and where will I live? I’ve always wanted to travel solo before too and I knew this was the year to do it.
Fast forward to the end of 2022 and what a ride it’s been. Probably my best year yet. Here’s a summary:
I returned full-time as a Product Manager at StructionSite (later acquired by DroneDeploy). 👨💻
Skied for the first time in over a decade. ⛷️
Three program transfers, eight internships, and seven years later, I graduated from the University of Waterloo in Computer Engineering! 🎓
Solo traveled Colombia 🇨🇴 and Peru 🇵🇪. Learned elementary Spanish, fell in love with Latin America, and made many friends along the way. ✈️
Moved to New York City and I’ve been loving it.🗽
Organized a weekly writing meetup in New York called the Olive Tree Writing Club. 🖊️
Here’s what’s next:
Taking the next step as a writer and build an audience. 🚀
Keep improving as a Product Manager. 💪
Take the Olive Tree Writing Club to the next level. ✍️
Pay off my student debt. 💰
Travel internationally. ✈️
Update my style and wardrobe. 👔
Host at least one event every quarter. 🥳

Until then,

2022 Year in Review
> 3 years of writing everyday. ✍️
This is impressive. I found new subscribers easier on substack and also saw other people moving their blog to substack. Maybe you can consider that if the thought of switching doesn't repel you too much.
I have helped two people (data scientist, and an business analyst) wrangle with their domain name issues on substack. So if you need help in that specific respect, feel free to holler
